The Executive Style Approach

In one-on-one coaching conversations, I combine a behavioral and cognitive approach that has proven to be successful in executive coaching. This means that the focus is on your skills and behavior as well as on your thoughts, ideas, feelings and reflections. Your coaching sessions will often involve successfully transferring new skills to your daily work situations.

How I Help You Create Your Executive Style
I meet with my clients in person twice a month. Each session runs for about 90 minutes and takes place at your office or company’s site. Like most coaches, I use psychological assessments, administer 360º feedback surveys and ask powerful questions to set the stage for a trusting relationship. I will videotape you, use humor, give feedback and help you reach your goals. What makes my coaching approach unique?

Personal
I will communicate with you in a personal, direct and authentic way. I will become your sparring partner by being candid and empathetic. Honesty is not optional; it comes standard with the package! I like to ask my clients lots of questions about their thoughts, feelings and everything related to their professional lives. Your coaching program is custom-made, don’t expect a standard approach. I’ll create a Development Plan that specifically meets your unique needs.

Pragmatic
My clients must be able to use coaching suggestions in daily work situations. No role-playing for the sake of role-playing! I focus on skills that you will be able to implement and use tomorrow, next week and ten years from now.

Fundamental
I make use of researched-based theories and concepts that have been proven to be effective. I help you own the communication and leadership models we practice, so you will be able to use them yourself. Do not expect quick fixes! I like to teach my clients how to fish — not catch the fish for them.

Meditation
Recent studies show that meditation is a great tool for personal and professional growth. By using meditation techniques you will become the observer of your own thoughts, feelings, behavior or body. When you can view yourself from a distance you are able to prioritize, connect with your purpose and redirect your professional life from within. I, therefore, might teach you a few simple meditation exercises that you can easily integrate into your day.

Your Motivation Guarantees Success

Motivation is a necessity. I believe that change will only happen if you want things to change. Motivation is the driving force needed for you to successfully change your leadership and communication style.
